Dan, there's a lot to be said for not having to pull over when you get the munchies. Sammiches are indeed the best, hot or cold. Yum!

Hope Larry is doing well on his LVAD. You both may be interested to know I had endocarditis on my mitral valve this summer, adding to the existing MV prolapse and regurgitation. Put a real scare into Victoria, it did. Fifty years ago I probably wouldn't have made it even with antibiotics. Yikes.
We're both introverts, as you may have guessed, but we still enjoy evenings with close friends. However you won't find us saying, "Hey -- let's go to Disneyland on Family Day!" *shudder*

Glad to be here, Wayne! Monty Python's "Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life" is indeed a theme song of ours! But there's always room for more theme songs, especially good ones!

Hi, Jeff and Marcia! If you are looking for more earworm theme songs, how about the one from "The Banana Splits"? THAT will stick with you a while! (evil grin)

Bob and I have been busy!
Yesterday we went to the local rock quarry where I bought a ton of pea gravel. This was Schitty's second journey onto the roadways and she worked like a champ. You can see the gravel behind her. I raked it out by hand, but she was tipped up in the front making it easier. See PoP below.
We have been installing the custom made insulation for about a week now and we’re getting close to being done. You can see it on the wall in the second PoP. The temperature difference between the insulated south wall and the uninsulated part of the same wall was 117* to 69*. Connie is starting to feel cozy.
Bob has also been putting together the frame for my bed. The second PoP shows the front that will allow me to hide stuff under the bed. The 7 doors are drawer fronts that I bought at the Yuma Habitat for Humanity Restore for $2.50 each. They are solid oak! The hinges cost more. The black stripes are the plastic studs built into each panel. Bob did a wonderful job making a silk purse out of a sow's ear. I can’t wait to get it installed.
I'm still having fun with this project. Every day seems to bring something new and exciting.

We were talking about you so much they are going to join us RV Mutants.
I’ll save you for asking—— Dave and Sherry

We will bring two things with us when we head to your place. A Legal "You Built" ownership applicable to Schitty so you can license her in your name and a brand new never used magnetic trailer light setup for you to install whenever you take her on the road.

Wayne,
I only culture the sweet aroma of my feet to entice my sweet cousin’s Mattie (below) and all loving pups including Lexi.
Dave and Sherry are loving and trusted friends to me. Please don’t provide any “tumblin tumble weed” gibberish. They are sensitive people!

Mattie is a cutie!
Barb & Bob, those doors look like they're from an RV overhead cabinet, or did you make them?

Jim & Paula are here in Yuma. Will be for quite a while. Looking at downsizing to smaller rv unit. Probably self built.
Send a p.m. when you are settled in.

No, they are solid oak (aka heavy) drawer fronts that I bought cheap at a Habitat for Humanity Restore. They came with silver ball knobs that will be replaced eventually.
I have been stressing over how to cover the ceiling insulation. There will be NO sheetrock in Connie. I hate the stuff! Tonight I found paintable textured wallpaper that will stick to the ceiling provided the correct glue is used. I might even use it on the walls. It is certainly lighter weight than any paneling. That will help us old farts get it up MUCH easier.
