Barb, I even stayed all showed up and the units over to this side of I-8 keep wandering away. Three more left this morning. As they leave the park it just makes us feel a tad safer even though the ones leaving are thinking they are doing what's best for them.

On another note I agree with Wayne.

Folks, I'm not so concerned with contracting the bug. We don't come that close to people here, apart from when we had to all go to the shelter yesterday.
No, my concern is that a lot of s**t can happen in the next two weeks leading to a big lock down on Interstate travel. We have enough fuel and provisions on board to make it home but we won't be able to jump roadblocks.
I'm also fearful of a potential breakdown in civil order. What's the saying? Civilization is a veneer, as thin as the time to the next meal.

Happy days!

Tim, heck of a deal he got on the truck, what truck is it?
Watched "American Experience" last night about influenza in 1918. Some things are similar and repeating. Good points Martin about civil breakdown, it happened then. Actually it doesn't take too much to drive humans over the edge.

Thanks, y'all, for your comments re running for home vs staying put. Except for the tornado warning yesterday, we've had no trouble distancing & isolating, & feel pretty safe here in AL. Home on the hill will be much the same.

Our main concern is access to the highways on the way home. Personally, I think that returning residents will be allowed to pass through other states, although we may have wait in check point queues.

Two more weeks. That part we can do. If the park gets closed down sooner, the decision is made for us. Baldwin County has said they will do that if it is determined that there are uncontrolled visitors. They already mandated closure of the pool.

I worry about all our Mutant family, too. All I can do is send ommms for your safety, but that, I do.

Sue Ohms returned to you and Martin in a big way. We are staying and that's only because we have to travel through all kinds of scary infected places all the way to wherever. Along with that the ferry service is forcing people to leave their vehicles and sit among the possibly infected swarms in the passenger decks. Not for us at all.

There are five very high risk cities we have to pass through and I will just pass on that idea. You two be safe and maybe next year we can again gather at a GC and fondly remember 2020 as a bust.

I think 2020 could be a bust in more ways than one.

Thanks, Moose, & it does seem wise for you to stay put.

What thinking person ordains that ferry passengers have, essentially, a Covid party?! And pay for it?!

And Electra (Mike?) is right, too. This is going to hurt a lot of folks who never encounter the virus.

My wild-ass guess is that many of the tests were for first responders, medical professionals, patients currently in hospitals, assisted-living facilities, etc. For another example, my dear friend has Stage 4 cancer. He needed an outpatient procedure and they tested him before they let him come in. If it's not a life-threatening emergency, I'd rather they test first; at this point in his treatment COVID-19 would kill him in hours.

BTW, have you talked with a vet to see if Sena is susceptible to COVID-19? Some species are more likely to cross-infect than others (pigs, birds) but I have no clue as to primates.

Yuma county still only has nine cases. There are 207,000+ people in the county. Other than Dennis and Irene, I don’t have contact with anyone except for my weekly trip into Yuma for essentials. I'm very careful to stay away from other people and not touch door handles etc with bare hands. Although I have plenty of nitrile gloves I think wearing them would give me a false sense of security. Plus they’re hot!
We are lucky here to have a large dog park in front of our abode.
And a group of dog people that are responsible in their social
distancing. The dogs are having a great time playing together.

We pray that all remain healthy, and in good spirits.

Made it home......left Monday morn at 7:15, stopped in Tonopah around 7pm, left there at 3:30 am, and was home at 6 pm yesterday........no problem getting diesel, other then just north of Vegas.......station had been beamed up!......wasn't even there and no trace of ever being there......now a new Dollar Tree..... so, 40 miles further north, got to pay $3.60 a gal.....and wasn't going any further without it........traffic was light, but around Vegas, and Reno, was plenty.......and I-5 in places was busy.....

R U an RV Mutant too?

What a sweet surprise in the mail today, when I saw the name on the box, I immediately thought she might have made face masks.... but nope, even better... 2 rolls of toilet paper... I sure needed to know that someone loved me.

Thank you Sue.... you are a wonderful friend, and got a huge smile from me....
