Wayne I'm not sure. My time line is getting all messed up. At this rate it won't be for a while, there is a good amount to do yet. With luck I might make it this year, I wanted to be ready by 4th of July originally. Quite stressful.

Looking for Sena photos

I just got one of those digital photo frames and want to fill it full of Sena photos. I know many of you have taken some great shots at GCs and gatherings. I wasn’t able to manage her and a camera when we were around others so I really don’t have some of the best shots.

If you have a few great photos please email them to me. Just put gmail.com after my username. All my email goes thru my cell phone hotspot so I can’t handle any really big files. If you have lots of photos maybe I can sweet talk you into putting them on a thumb drive and snail mailing it to me. Just ask for my address when you get ready to send it.

Thanks!

Barb,

I will send what I have...

yesterday I was talking to Anna and told her, she was very sad for you, and said Sena was the best pet she had ever met.... she also asked if you were going to get another... so I explained that probably not, because they live so long that you were worried about who would take care of her/him if something happened to you... she instantly said if you got another one that you can count on her, she would take it and love it... Anna is your birthday share child... And when Sena jumped into her arms in North Little Rock, Anna was totally in love with her...

Barb, we will turn over the thumb drive when we next see each other. If you are not going to connect with us before next December please send your snail mail to us.

Sena loved Anna! And I bet she'd make a good monkey mom. Tell her to work on becoming VERY patient. Patience and loving are 2 essential qualities needed. She has the second one down pat.

I forget if she is an Arkie Grand, or a Florida Grand. If she lives in Florida she needs to start working on her 1,000 hours of experience so she can get a Class II primate license. Arkansas is a little easier. Hopefully, the rules won’t get any more restrictive before she gets old enough. Remind her that being a monkey mom isn’t an easy job, but the unconditional love makes up for most of the trouble they cause.

There’s another reason why I won’t have another monkey - Valley Fever. It's a fungal disease that comes from spores in the dirt in Arizona's desert. That's what finally took Sena from me. She was more susceptible because of her heart condition. Currently there is no vaccine or preventive treatment for it. The University of Arizona is working on a dog vaccine and if they develop one I might look into adopting an older monkey that needs a new home. I wouldn’t have considered getting a baby monkey until I read her offer above. Maybe someday? Who knows what might happen in this crazy world? The future looks brighter when I meet young people like Anna.

Please tell Anna if she wants to know more about capuchin monkeys she is welcome to email me. With her parent's approval, of course.
