I volunteered to be the chef today for the meat. Had skirt steak done to perfection on the Traeger grill, followed by 3 pounds of giant shrimp. Boys and spouses and GK's came down for my getting old celebration. I don't have pictures of proof for the food, but I do have one of perfection.

Thank y'all for the birthday wishes. One more year and I'll be an octogenarian.
Yup, the cakes are perfect!

Happy birthday, Sir Cumference!

Folks, this virus crap is not going away. Our County reporting is at 4 p.m. daily except Sunday. So today's reported total new cases was 310, the largest of any single day. Day before was over 200+

Things are not looking good, not at all. We go out for necessities but other than that we are not socializing at present. We wear masks in respect for others. Go figure that Texas has a State wide order to wear masks but some counties are not enforcing it.

Stay safe out there, stay safe.

Well today is the big day. Today we round up and drive the cows from the south pasture to the north pasture. It's a intricate procedure requiring planning and teamwork. A time honored process. How's it done you ask. Well first a couple of buckets of feed will be loaded in back of my side by side then I'll drive to the highest point of the south pasture and thump the side of the bucket to get their attention, then simply drive to the north pasture. The danger is real cause a stampede could occur at any given time. The timing of getting the gates opened and closed is the trick to the success. The uniform for the process is pretty much the same thing I wore to the Shootout at Brice Canyon GC. Wish me luck mutants, this whole process could take some time, maybe 30 minutes at most then back to ac!

Well, Timmy, that sure is a lot of danger, suspense, and physical effort just to move 4 cows.
We usetah just shoosh em with someone leading the way with a salt lick.

A side-by-side. Hmmm.

Kiddie cars! Nope, they are now a nessecary peace of farm equipment. They are so versatile hauling, pulling driving etc. Much easier to get a ice chest to set in the back than across the rear of the horse.

So versatile that later today I'll be driving guest out to the pasture for a nieces wedding. Large tents set up for shade, big BBQ and generators running fans. None of this was my planning, I mean who gets married in a pasture in July? I did suggest a person stand by with a shotgun, no not to keep the groom from running but to keep the water moccasins away from the guest!

Forgot to add, severe weather is due in our area about the time this kicks off. We may be fishing large tents out of trees tomorrow!
