It's been awhile since I've been on but wanted to wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving. Don't you all eat too much, you hear? Currently in Lake Havasu and will be heading shortly towards Phoenix for doc appointments. Dale has a hernia we have to get taken care of.

That Wayne's a funny guy. I mailed him a large envelope of venison over a week ago and he's not replyed! I know it was delivered, I got a picture of it setting by his front door. Hope I put enough ice in the bag.

Happy Thanksgiving to all Mutants out there, hope everyone had enough refrigerator space for the left overs. 36lb turkey for the 6 of use seemed about right when I bought, DW will be buying from now on.

I saw some dogs and other animals tearing up a package in the yard. Didn't want to get involved. It was all gone the next time I looked. Send another one and in an insulated box with dry ice. I'll be more vigilant on delivery services.

Enjoy the turkey for the next month and a half!

Batteries are part of the private generating system, coupled to the grid. By law, if there is an outage of the grid, the whole system has to be decoupled within milliseconds to prevent line men being fried.
Batteries, therefore, cannot be considered as standby power.

Tesla sells a grid disconnect that allows you to power the house from the batteries when the power is out and to charge them from the array. Video on YouTube about it.

Alan, I hear what you say but I would think that the Tesla solution with batteries would be very pricey. We are fortunate in that outages here are very rare but if they did become a problem, a propane fueled generator would probably be the more economical answer.

Think is is well past time for a roll call.... where are you and what are you doing.....

Thanksgiving is over, done... hard to not be with families, but every day with Z is good for me.

Finishing up my Christmas shopping, packages go to delivery service tomorrow.... two birthdays to celebrate this month as well.

Even with covid I have managed to continue with normalcy for the most part. I am happy that we decided to move to the sunshine state, as we are outside here for at least two hours a day, just sitting and swinging... back in AR Z spent most of his time indoors. The salt air has done us both good, and since he is cold all of the time from meds, the warm helps some.

Right now Larry and I are both happy and relatively healthy (wink)..

Good news from Di, for sure!

A group of RVMs got together in Yuma today at Dave and Carol's place. We had delicious vittles and lots of laughs. Dave and Nola and Jim and Paula were there as well. It was so good to see everyone again. I don’t think any PoP photos were taken. Oops!
