Carol said "Thanks" for the b-day wishes.

She says age is about mind over matter - if you don't mind, it doesn't matter.

I did let her sleep in and then fix one of her favorite meals for dinner.

Barb - Carol loves the 2006-2006 Scion XB. She wants a yellow one and would cal it "Sunbeam". I reminded her that Sunbeam makes toasters...

Would that compete with Barb's already "Smart" toaster?

No Wayne she said you look like a jacka—, get your hearing aids checked!

Some previous portions of this reply may or may not be fake.

There's a lime green one for sale where I got mine. You ready to trade your Mustang?

Oh yeah Barb (s)lime green is definitely her "favorite" color...
Speaking of which ,is yours named yet. Carol suggested "Dusty" because that's the color it will be if you don't wash it every day...

Martin, I think I only see one seat in that Spitfire...

A girl friend of mine's mother flew Spitfires during the war in Britain. She was taught to fly and would be ferried to Ireland where she would get into an unarmed plane that was built in the states or Canada and fly that plane from Ireland to someplace in central England. She told of us how she had to dodge German planes as she flew back to England. She had a problem with the Irish because they allowed Germans to set up on their 'neutral' land.

There is a second seat about 20 ft away in the form of an identical cockpit forming the control center of a magnificent simulator. Called the Spitfire Experience, the 30 min flight, under the guidance of an instructor, takes you out of Manston, where the Spitfire museum is. Sitting behind a trio of huge wide screen monitors and hearing the sound of the Merlin responding to the throttle, I took off heading for London, visible in the distance. As I approached the Houses of Parliament at 3000ft, the instructor asked me to turn right and follow the river to the east. Right away I saw Tower Bridge with its roadway level and thought this is a target too good to miss. So I dove down to a few hundred feet and passed through the 'goal' above the road and below the upper crossways. The instructor said he'd never seen anyone do that before. I carried on down the river, under Dartford bridge and on to land safely at Biggin Hill.
Jo, my DD, works with a Gov'nt agency called South East Museum Development Org. and this museum falls within her ambit. Her job is to assist museums improve accessibility to disabled people. Sue could see how excited she was watching me in the sim. so she bought a ticket to give her later. Jo told me later that the sim. is a huge draw and earns over £70,000 p/a for the museum.

Martin, I’m impressed!
I did similar in a sim in Maryland, and out-foxed computer gamers with a Mustang. They chased me 2 at a time, but I was the only one that knew what the air brakes could do: they went past me, and I BLASTED them!

Thanks for bringing back a fun memory!

Hi Sue! [emoji177]
