That there was a costume party, did you see all the trucks dressed as cars! Yep all across that land you see cars and minivans pulling trailers! Them trailers be designed different too but hey we love our buckets of bolts builders and their concoctions. So on and on we go high dollars for low quality and pitiful design.


Many of them cops in should get trained during those races on how to end the chase fast. In ohio there is a school bus demolition derby someplace, its crazy fun to watch and the kids to wild! They have had a electric parking assistant for trailers where you can literally walk your trailer into a tight parking spot for decades and its reasonable too. Should be standard equipment on trailers!

Hey Okmunky, I like your pickup truck with no motor or tranny to deal with awesome. Up in Indiana I pass a field full of truck beds some are even dually types, always did want to find out how much they wanted for one to put a coupler on one and an axle under it but never got around to it. There was a similar situation up in Northern Indiana too, guess they must make stuff out of trucks and cheaper to get the bed with instead of ordering just the cab and frame or something.


As to the trailer parking thing they do it two ways, first is a jack with motor driven wheels the other better way is where this friction wheel comes and turns the trailers tires. A friend had one on his caravan that he used to enable him to park with centimeter accuracy. Yeap them monarchists gave up the royal system for decimal bigtime. Here is a link to the latter type gizmo. The one he had years ago had a wired remote that he could walk with on either side of the trailer and clear to the back. He had put an extra protecting tubing around the cable to help protect it from paver rash.


Can you just see it, no more waste of time trying to get thaaaat darn trailer over just an couple of inches here but centimeters there!

Here is another kind but in the old kings land they generally prefer the integrated one so there is no additional gizmo like we prefer our 2000 pounds of leveling systems and more! But here is the other kind that is popular across the marble and at every trailer service and sales facility.


Funny thing is here in the United States we make them folks at UHaul muscle their trailers when they could easily use an ergonomic non back breaking gizmo like the one here, should be at every trailer dealer too.

As to Schitty - she is the entire back end of an old Datsun pickup with a coupler welded to the front. I bought her and a black tank transport barrel for $100 when I was parked for the winter near Quartzsite, AZ on BLM land. I only wanted the barrel, but the guy insisted that I take the trailer, too. He even delivered it to my site. I could have bought the barrel in Q for $95.

We had a lot of fun painting and decorating it and I was planning to just leave it when I left in the Spring. Instead, I bought some land in Yuma County and Schitty was very helpful for getting everything to the new place in one trip. Thankfully Dennis and Denise helped me move down here. Dennis drove my toad so the motorhome could pull Schitty.

She has no title or VIN number so I doubt she is road legal, but I occasionally take her to a nearby gravel quarry and bring home pea gravel.

Weellll I do like your resourcefulness with the truck bed. Explains the name bigly. That is awesome. Guess if you can find a trailer axle with electric brakes or some such you could drop the truck axle and weld the .... but probably pick up a RV trailer with a demolished body a lot cheaper and put a truck bed on it!


That parking thing, some caravans in UK etc come with em built in, my friend has to literally park the rig centimeters from the house wall to fit his car past it into the garage.



If the RV trailer folks would put in the parking gizmo process when they assemble them campers I'd bet the cost could be a couple of hundred or less, as the thing would be totally driven off the house battery (jack mechanism or the individual tire mechanism). The individual tire mechanism would need 2 motors but half as powerful. The thing moves very slowly to allow for precision, and the rig itself is not heavy like those here, so a little helping push goes a long way.


Having a tank cart like the one you have is fantastic, could even put a fresh water tank on a rack above! Input output tug! Though, the fresh water couldn't be sitting too high as that would create a tipsy situation with no spirits involved! Automobile registration in zoni land is something awful expensive. Hurts less as the car gets older but when its new its a super bleeder specially for RVs. (situation I got into over a decade ago... shoulda learned about it before I made the purchse).
