Perhaps there should be two fire rings a distance apart? Or perhaps only one that does the duty without issues?

Some cannot tolerate what others love, and some will appreciate clean air, rather than being present at the smoke.

It’s a new, older group of Mutants with limitations!! I’m one.

Steve, you only have to bring you and Mary Ann...anything else will be superfluous. We will be honored by just your presence...well, at least Mary Ann's wonderful presence.

Three would be better. You must have forgotten about Tim.

Y'all, we weened ourselves on campfires for years. Cooked meals in cast iron skillets. Drank coffee from a percolator over a campfire. I don't know what happened but over the years the smoke does bother us. We can and have sat round a campfire with y'all before and we can do it again, but preferences is smokeless...just sayin' and let's not all get up on an uproar becasue one way or he other we will all be in good company. Don't need no stinkin' fir' to have fun ...

My buddy Dude always said if the smoke bothers you, you must be using cheap papers!

Never really knew what Dude meant!

Wait, wait, wait! I thought you were from IN. Cool nights in August in IN? R U kiddin' me?!

PS: I still love a wood fire too, but then I don't have the same health issues others have. Yet. I'll join y'all at the "real" fire part of the time. [emoji91]

So now we are segregated. Real fire vs fake fire.
My concern is fan vs no fan!

Just a FYI here…. I gave always used the IRV2 app as opposed to the website…. Just my preference sine I exclusively use an IPad rather than a full laptop or desktop….

However the last 2-3 weeks it has been on a bender. It will not load the newer posts. So I missed a lot of good retort chances

But don’t fuss over a fire pit. Just put some red food coloring in a jar…. You guys are still lucky enough to get together.

I miss you, I miss the get togethers, but we just cannot travel… Larry rode with me to Bradenton, FL to pick up a grand from camp and was exhausted for a week….

Enjoy that you can get together. I will have to just enjoy being a ‘’has been’’……

I'm going to copy this to the Shipwreck thread and reply.

He has the propensity to create his own heat when he talks.

The two of you together may be more heat than we can stand.

Bull could be the first part of his name...and I'm sure you can figure out last part...well since you sling a lot also.

Spoke to Moose on phone yesterday, it’s for sure they can’t make it.
So
The big party’s on!

He did threaten a trip down south once they can cross. That reminds me, need to tighten up that gate.

I learned a lesson today: patience has its own reward. I applied for a Harbor Freight credit card about 2 months ago and I decided to buy their $3300 towable backhoe. I didn’t need the credit, I wanted the 10% discount off the first purchase with the card.

Anything and everything that could delay this happened - They sent it to my SD address, I lost some gift cards that I needed to add in, etc, etc. today I finally had all the obstacles jumped, or so I thought. Their website wouldn’t accept my order. So I called customer service for the 10th time. Instead of being angry, I played the sympathy card.

I worked! I got the discount via an override by the lovely lady on the phone ... AND .... I will still get a 10% discount on the first order I put on the card.

Wait til you see all the holes I plan to dig on Notta Ranch! I am putting geothermal cooling pipes into Connie, my planned ground level fish tanks for aquaponic gardening are a go, and I might dig a root cellar for cooler storage. Plus, I do think it will be great fun just to play with.
