As a recovering alcoholic and one who has also had bouts of depression I can only thank God that this is one place I never got to. His comedic genius and dramatic acting talent has left us with lasting memories of the treasure that he was. His tremendous work with the USO and for the homeless of this great country through Comic Relief will be forever appreciated by thousands of nameless souls. His tragic ending reminds us all that not everything is as it seems and that we must live every moment as if it might be our last.

God Speed Robin, make 'em laugh in Heaven.

That was one of my Favorites the other was the one with Coco the sign language ape - purely priceless

I think the Academy Awards put it out the best when they tweeted a photo with the caption Genie your Free

I have spent 6 years in Iraq and Afghanistan and have come to believe that our name is in a book and when our name comes up it does not matter who you are, where you are or the manner it is time - it is how I have coped with the loss of friends.

Even in Death Robin has touched many lives, the first 2 days after the cause of his death was released calls to hot lines increased over 200% - we will never know how many lives he saved in this manner.

He will be missed
