Running lights

Can anyone tell me why do campers leave their running lights on day and night? I've got 6 bright red lights staring at me while I sit at the campfire! Irritating!

No real beneficial reason, they are just inconsiderate. As long as they are happy they just don't care how their happiness impacts those around them.

You might ask them to turn them off and explain why. Suspect they are oblivious to affect of their actions.

If they cared, they would notice that no-one else does it and clue in.

I've been camping for years and only recently have noticed running lights being left on. We have 5 rigs in a row with them on, looks like Christmas

I would politely say something to them. There are some people that either are oblivious or inconsiderate.

it's the, (parked in the truck stop syndrome, that's all.
There are a lot of us who have parked in truck stop parking lots that know, (you could get hit by a sleepy driver) that can't always see you as he or she pulls in or out of the parking area, if you don't leave your lights on.

In the camp ground, It's a (hey, you like my pretty lights) thing. I've been guilty of leaving my lights on this way and like mentioned, noticed, no one else is doing it, so why should I, or who cares.

You'll have to let that person know how annoying it is or they may never figure it out on their own.

I've seen these lights and have no problem with them. They aren't any brighter than the awning lights, the rope lights on the ground, or the lighted palm trees that people put out.

I think the OP was referring to the folks that leave the lights on, on the whole rig, I could be wrong

Perhaps they are traveling together, and they need the lights on to remind them who they're traveling with.

Be happy they are not honking their Horn. Wanna be trucker syndrome.

Also be happy they are not up all night with the awful music, smoking weed and fighting...the lights are no big deal...now, the spot light on the back side of their rig, now that's another story!!!

If asking doesn't work, Point a Q-beam their way and let it shine. 😉
