I took that picture a few weeks ago at King's Canyon. Those people were about three sites down from us, and we weren't the only crazies. I would say the campground was almost half full. Granted, the snow was a surprise for me as it wasnt in the forecast I had looked at. Nevertheless it was fun and something different to experience. Here's my rig the morning after it snowed...

Sure why not. In Alaska we even continue to ride bicycles in the snow, granted we put studded snow tires on the bicycles but away we go. SOme of the crazier people here tent camp with 30 below sleeping bags in the snow.
The real question is how do they camp when in its in the 80s and above. You can always add more clothing to get warm but you can only take off so much before you are arrested.

I'm a sissy - I don't camp in the Winter. I just ride.

That's why we go to Florida in the winter and Maine in the summer.

We have camped in snow. Not our choice but happenstance. In fact we camped over Thanksgiving in the desert. Lows in the 40's. Brrrr. Now that's winter camping.
