Wow, 7 pages about a "competing" RV site and we do not shut it down.. Try discussing iRV2 over there and see how fast it get yanked.

That would be a good test. Why don't you open a thread over there with the same question that started this one except about IRV2?

That would be an interesting experiment alright, but I might never see it as I rarely go to anything but the Mexican forum. I can only stand so many questions about weight!

I visit ther every day, Still get some good info there from time to time

The problem there is signal to noise ratio.. There is a lot of noise

I belong to 3 RV based forums. The third has the best signal to noise ratio. (Actually it is the first I joined, but back then not just anyone could join.. Took special software)

At one time, I had a lot more time than I do now and so, was a member of several RV forums. I had to weed out all others to stay with the best. It has been awhile since I have even looked at the others. I may not even remember my user name and passwords any more. I like what we have here and I am sticking with it!

Since I really didn't offer much opinion on RV.net earlier, I'll this, that its alright, so long as you stay out of the ATC and General RVing Forums where the Mods have contracted lingering arbor-impaction. Any forum who has a moderator by the name of "Dick A" (This is the God's Honest Truth, that's the guy's user name!) should be approached with extreme caution .

Rvnet is a wealth of technical information regarding RV'ing and has been very helpful to me in that regard over the years. Anytime you have such a large installed user base you are going to get a lot of input on questions. Yes, this means you will have to separate the wheat from the chaff but it also means you are very likely to get input and answers that are applicable to your particular questions. I find that often it is not one single answer in a thread that helps me, but a combination of several answers that helps to clarify and answer the question.

I used to enjoy ATC but it has been dull and boring for some time now.

I wish there was an rv related forum that provided for discussion of current events, politics, etc but I fully understand forum owners reluctance to allow such subjects.
