RV tool kit

At $40.00 this isn't a bad way to start.

WEST MARINE Shipyard Tool Kit | West Marine

They're not the best quality but it's a good starting point.

Not bad I guess but one thing always happens with these molded case kits:
Item X breaks (usually the ratchet is first to go) or gets lost and the replacement doesn't fit.
Or you need to add something else (like the aforementioned hammer) and it doesn't fit, so now you're carrying two kits.

Those with the funds could do better to start a kit based on a more flexible case or bag.

Agreed, and I do carry another tool bag with my torque wrench and larger sockets for changing tires, etc. I also have a second multi tester that stays in the trailer.

I've used better tools but this was something cheap to leave in the RV.

No matter how many tools we have in our RV's, we will NOT have the one that we need it! Just attempt to cover the bases!

That used to be me. Now I keep all of my tools in my truck. I have a big tote box with 400# of tools in it. And a few more in the cab. It's enough to limp me home from just about anything that goes wrong.
