Item: I recently spent some time in hospital but I was able to check in daily (or near daily) from there.. The hospital I was in had free Wi-Fi for the clients to use and this laptop did the job.. Mostly (This laptop needs to visit the comptuer body shop).
Of course not all hospitals do this... But if the one he is in does not, he should make the suggestion.. If he, and enough others do that, Things might imnprove.
I was in Port Huron (Michigan) Hospital myself.
