Shingles
Got the vaccine ( two shots ) and only side effect was slight redness at injection site. Medicare paid and no cost to me. Got the shot at CVS pharmacy as my primary care Dr recommended going there for no charge immunization. Had shingles 30 yrs ago and never want to go through that, very painful.

I got shingles in 2014. I was covered from the center of my chest to the middle of my back and from the base of my neck to my waist.
The pain was constant for 6 months.
I got the first shingles shot and had no real reaction, other than a sore arm.
I recommend getting the shot, you do not want shingles, trust me.

We just had the first dose last week. No side effects at all. It's just like a flu shot. Next dose in 2 months.

my husband had them, started at the temple moved down to the inside of his mouth, there is a major nerve that runs there. anyhooo after living on liquids for awhile and some meds. from the doctor it went away. asked the doctor about the vac. for shingles he said he doesn’t think it’s worth it cause the wording is “it MAY help prevent shingles “ so husband said ok won’t get it. hope the doctor was honest, i don’t trust to many of them. as for the pain , yes very painful.:

GET IT!!! I did when I hit 60. After seeing my wife get them in her EYE and almost going blind, I couldn't get it soon enough!!! Never even knew one could get it in the eye!!! No side effects for me. Might have possibly had a sore arm, but that may be another shot I may be recalling.

No one wants Shingles, ever.
Get Shingrix. Works well with seniors wheras the previous one did not. Some arm soreness is common.

Both my wife and I got the shingles vaccine about 18 months ago. The initial shot was painless. Second shot left our arms a little sore. After watching my wife suffer from shingles a few years ago, I recommend getting it without any reservations.

My Doctor wants me to get this shot. Research the efficacy of this vaccine and if you think the percentage is high enough then get it if you want. I am in my 70s and in my younger years I traveled a lot and took more shots than I care to remember. I’ll pass on this one.
