So What Do you Call that Van?
So What Do you Call that Van?
Talking with a friend who is not a Camper. He asked me a funny question, saying "So what do you call the VAN"?
A Van which could be a Class A, B, or C, but the only difference is that it gets its power from the Solar, and from an underhood Generator. But still requires Fuel. You can not call it an electric VAN. As it is not 24/7 powered only by Petroleum.
My reply was only that some dealers refer to them as Pure, Li3 but as to a name that one would call them to show the separation. I'll have to think on a bit.
What would you call this type of VAN?
SHINE
GLOW
Light--No taken
ARK
Night Owl
your thoughts or suggestions for a name that anyone would know, that it's half fuel and a half from other sources of power?

Um, what's wrong with calling it anything you want ?
it's yours, so name it !
We had a winnebago LeSharo (class b before they called them class b's )
and a class c and a class a - we called them all rv ...
NEVER camper since they cost so much
pic is SOME of the rv's we've owned..

As I stated above Li3 and Pure are what manufactories seem to be calling them.
So the point of my question is not MY RV, but the "class of RV that requires little fuel."

Thanks, for your most comprehensive reply and yet still jumping over the question completely. To my understanding, I do not know of any trailer(s) that are fully four-seasoned and completely operational without a generator or shore power that is currently made by a manufacturer, but then I have been wrong and I wonder what they came up with-in the way of a name if they did?

JohnBoyToo, I see your tow is a Jeep, I enjoyed our liberty. However, the Jeep 2005 Commander was always a real pain. I did look into the possibilities of Jeep CJ-7. But during the test drive, I found the seat was placed to close to the driver's door and I kept having to drive with my left arm. They really closed them in from the old military jeeps we drove back in the day. But then again they were fully opened. Thanks for sharing
