As I recall the lens may have mounted but made no connection to the “A” whatever (think Best Buy) Sony for auto anything. So everything was manual. Also the Canon took better low light pictures than the Sony with Sony lens that should have been as good.

What really turned me off of Sony was when there were Bald Eagles fishing fifty yards away and not one shot was worth a darn in full sun.

I get the bigger the diameter of the lens the better the picture. But I have done really good stuff with the silly Canon. Some has been published locally for advertisements to my area.

The smart phones are so good now days. I could almost buy one for pictures. Hum, sound old? Yep and still going.
