There are thousands of rv's sitting on lots and many more being built weekly
It does appear overall sales will back down from record numbers
I don't expect to see any fewer on the road due to many factors
Should parks thin out a little then many parked rigs will hit the road

I read the article, and other than volitility and the COE demonstrating a complete lack of focus,
"Shares dropped 11% on Nov. 7, 2018, after the company told investors its revenue climbed a modest 6.2% year over year to $1.31 billion, translating to adjusted earnings of $0.49 per share. Analysts, on average, were modeling higher earnings of $0.62 per share on revenue of $1.41 billion.
That decline essentially brought Camping World stock back to where it started last month."
Nothing here but volitility. Don't put all your eggs in this basket, but 6.2% increase in revenue is nothing to sneeze at. I don't know who wrote this, but 6.2% increase in revenue = revenue doubling in 12 years

chicken little syndrome imo.
fwiw, older used well built coaches still fetch a fair price...
we are at the ten year mark in our bus, imo it will take a huge carrot to get me to trade to a NEW bus.
now an older foretravel or newell, that may be a deal winner.
ours just needs a refresh inside to remove the last bits of carpet..everything else is NEW or in like new condition.
if markets do tank like in 08...and have chance again to buy a brand new bus at cost like before, this would also make me look.
market jumping around right now is all political and allowing wild speculation to run amuck IMO

What the writer has failed to factor in or include in either article is the of number of dealerships nationwide that Camp World has acquired since 2016 and how the cost of such will have an effect of the declared year to year gains. Thor has gone thru the same stock price fluctuations when they announced the year to year final earnings and dividend after the acquisition of Jayco in 2016 and Hymer this year.
To consider either as an indicator of the RV industry health and a potential repeat of 2008 is very premature.

Their stock has fluctuated a lot recently. Their CEO made some statements that caused him some political issue. But I would like to think that this line in the article "generally bearish sentiment surrounding Camping World" might translate to the rising state of disenchantment by Camping World customers.
I have seen a lot of folks who have nothing or very little to say good about the current state of their business methods.
I agree with most here who are of the opinion that it is too soon to make any rash conclusions.

Did they plunge because everything else is plunging and they didn't want to be left behind?
