Just a quick reference. Searching the site, 1410 occurrences of the tired, overused cliche, "pulling the trigger".
Then why is nobody complaining about a phrase that appears 0VER 145,000. 102 times more frequently. That phrase: "Welcome to IRV2"
So just to keep it fresh, knock that off too.
Just because you say something often doesn't make it bad. Like "Thank you", You're welcome" and "I love you".

How about the phrases "having said that" and "that being said". Those get used quite a bit also. I guess it makes the poster sound more studious and knowledgeable on the subject.
Having said that, I'm pulling the trigger on this thread.

Have to agree!
Wouldn't you agree that the general consensus here is that we are all getting a bit tired of all of these cliches that we hear each and every day ad nauseum!!
This is an excellent thread to vent!

"your call is very important to us (me), please leave a message and we will call you right back". Yeah, sure you will!

We watch the Home and Garden TV Channel.
EVERY house they show has the " OPEN CONCEPT " layout.

Yes. We should create new cliches every week.
