USAFSS/ESC: Check in

We accidentally hijacked another thread by talking about our spook lives in USAFSS/ESC. Rather than keep the hijack going, let’s start one here.

I was a 207X2 stationed at Sunny San Vito with the 6917th from ‘77-80 and again from ‘83-87 with Det 1 (Radome). I also flew out of Offutt AFB with the 6949th from ‘81-83. I was at Kelly (actually Medina) from ‘80-81 with the 6993rd, and then at The Fort with the 6994th from ‘87-89. Only did 12+ years and got out.

That's interesting. Did you continue to speak Russian after you got out?

I spent 75-77 at Iraklion AS, Crete, Greece supporting recon flights in the eastern Med, then spent 77-80 at Ft. Meade at NSOC. I was a 202 and went through training at Goodfellow AFB from 75-75.

Tried to keep it going for a while, but didn't fit in with what I was doing, so let most of it slip.
DW and I do some cruising, meet some Ukrainian crew members, try a little then.
