Waters Edge in Punta Gorda is nice. I stay there for a week every winter. BTW, they are next door to the municipal airport if that would bother you.

Hi Kustom.....It is 20-25 minutes outside of Lake Wales which is in Polk County. It is about the same distance from Winter Haven (Legoland), and is about an hr. from Orlando. LW is a nice small town, and WH is bigger as far as shopping, restaurants, etc. It is near Lake Kissimmee. I haven't been to it in quite a while, but I understand it is nice. They used to have a western motif with a rodeo, and I think they still do.

Try FLorida Grande Resort near Webster, FL...very nice setup with large sites and some have 12' X 32" Cabanas.

About and hour from Disneyworld, etc.

Google "florida rv lots for sale" There are many very nice choices.

Be careful with memberships and fees. Owning a lot can be like a having a STD, you may have it for life. Buying one from and individual wanting to sell badly is better than buying from the company. Check out your neighbors carefully. Lots are small and if your neighbor plays the tuba as a hobby, you might get tired of it.
