My advice is don't purchase one in the first year, and especially not from the dealer. You are covered by the Tiffin warranty on everything for the first year, three years on the chassis and five years on the engine and transmission. At the end of the first year, then decide if you want to purchase an insurance policy (they are not warranties but insurance) or self insure. It takes a lot of repairs to make up the 5-7k that a policy will cost. The main thing is to carefully study what they cover and especially what they don't cover. In 4-1/2 years I have spent a total of $2200 on items that would have been covered by an extended policy. The dealer wanted $7k for a 5 year policy when we bought ours and I declined.

I would never buy an extended warranty on an RV! Those are HUGE moneymakers for the dealers, and the companies leave themselves too many loopholes to get out of paying your claims.

I would take that same amount of money and put it in a special bank account to be used only for repairs! I'm betting you will have a lot of money left in the account at what would have been the expiration date on the warranty! JMHO

and to add to Dan's advice...take the $ you would have spent for the insurance policy and set it aside in a bank account, money market, etc. that becomes the seed for a self maintenance fund. add to that seed money $X each month to build the fund. we did that on day one back in '15 when we took delivery of our Suncruiser. we pay for all maintenance, repairs and enhancements from that fund.

This is like medical/homeowner's/flood/EQ/term life.......insurance. If you have the $$ try Wholesale Warranties or USWarranty Corp in Ohio. Exclusionary policy only. Call various dealers and do comparison $hopping. Does Tiffin sell their own warranties ?
