Just got a phone call with a recorded message that because of some problem or other they had just suspended my SS#?[emoji849]Message said to press 1 to get further information.

They are just trolling to get you on a list of phone numbers that respond to spam calls. Then you get even more spam.

I do love to jerk the "Microsoft" spammers. I can usually keep them on for 5 or 10 minutes before they realize I am stroking them. Yeah, one of the great things about being retired.

"This is Barbara and I need to inform you that there is a problem with your federal student loan application. Please call immediately 1-800-............."

Barbara calls me at least once a week. My wife is getting jealous! I never answer a call anymore unless the number is in my short list of contacts. I just let Barbara go to voicemail.

Tell them they can't. At least until I'm absolutely sure my water heater is working the way it should.

I got the same message at least 6 times a day for about 3 weeks. I never answered but they did leave a message telling me to call them back. I also was getting about 6 calls a day for a couple of months that there was a warrant out for my arrest and I could call them back and pay my fines over the phone with a credit card. Nice try.
