We're a little sad today........

We have had reservations for the month of February at the Rainbow Plantation Escapees park in Summerdale since last March. We were hoping that Annette's back problems would be under control by then, and they probably will.

Problem is that I had to schedule my ankle fusion for January 22nd, with a 3-month recovery time! I had to call today and cancel the reservations.

I've been putting this off but it's just gotten so painful that I have to get something done, and that's the earliest I could get the surgeon I wanted.

Oh well, maybe we can get outta here before the summer heat hits!

Feel for yea Joe.

Ever think of having the coach delivered, have your surgery, then fly to the coach for recovery? After a month I believe you could drive it back.

I put off two surgeries while taking care of my late wife's needs. Now that she's deceased it's time for my thinks to get fixed. One will be a knee replacement in Dec 28th.

Something to think about Mr_D, deliver the coach where it needs to be. Fly back, get your knee, then fly back for recovery. As someone who has more looking in the rear view mirror than looking out the windshield. Live life, much respect.

Logistics, also ask how fast a replacement knee can get on an airplane. Thinking that may require 10mg of Xanax, and 1 plane bottle of vodka. Just enough to wake up on landing.

I am at 7 week post knee replacement. My replacement was complicated by a disintegrated bone fragments that had to be removed and arthritis.

I can't say enough for Outpatient Physical Therapy. My two therapist who I affectionately call Dr. Pain, and the other one I call Dr. More Pain worked wonders for me. They kept the exercises interesting and varied. They provided the physical support to get me back to "normal" and they also provided the mental/emotional support to do what is needed to get back to normal. My goal is to take the motorhome to West Virginia mountains and go snow skiing this January!
