United States Marine Corp - 23 year, six months, 1 day (1960-1984).
Civilian world for 10 years after that with the last 6 as a lab manager for refractory inspections and mechanical inspector a few times (no degree at that)
Needed job security so went to work as a Civil Servant, NASA, Johnson Space Center - Information Security Specialist (USMC Taught me that). Retired Feb 2007. DW was Civil Servant, NASA, Johnson Space Center and retired in 2007 with 28 years CS behind her.

Someone asked me what I was going to do today, and I told them, "Nothing."
They replied, "You did that yesterday."
To which I replied, "Yes, but I haven't finished yet."
I think it was my DW that asked me, but hey CRS!

First serious career began in 1955 with TWA in Reservation & Sales (7.5 years) next career, was with Pan Am Aerospace Services Division in an Administrative position (7.5 years) and last but not least, retired from the LVMPD in Vegas, 1993 after 22yrs 2mo's. Thoroughly enjoy the retired lifestyle so think I'll stay with that career--LOL

Was a Software Engineer, mostly focusing on QA work for Intel's OEM Logo Program. Basically, we developed the tools used to pass/fail a system made by a OEM hardware manufacturer to get that spiffy "Intel Inside" logo on the box.

Our lab was let go January 30th, so now I collect unemployment as my living and look for work around the country.

I told people where to go.. Not just any people I told STATE POLICE OFFICERS where to go.

And they PAID me for it.. Now is that a job or what? In fact They STILL pay me for doing it! Now that is great (Retired Professional State Police Dispatcher)

Enjoyed 25 years as a semiconductor process engineer and ASQC Quality Manager in Aerospace/Hi Reliability electronics.

Then midlife crisis career change to Lawyer w/intent to be a Patent Attorney. After discovering Patent attorneys with a bad heart are unemployable, I went into Criminal Defense.

DW was an regional Office Manager for 7-11/Southland Corp. and then 27 years as Office Manager with a PI law firm which specialized in Aircraft accidents (plane crashes).

Retired 5 years.

USAF 1960 - 1964 photo equip. repair
Photo technician for military contractor 1965 - 1968

New York City Firefighter 1968 - 1996 Absolutely the most rewarding job I could ever have imagined. Despite the physical complications I now have, I'd do it all over again. Don't ever forget 9/11
