Forest River people have their own forum. http://www.forestriverforums.com
It is independent and is not operated by Forest River but covers users of all the Forest River products, except maybe Airstream which is owned by Thor, a division of Forest River.

The iRV2 Forum for Forest River (linked above) is very active:
Forest River Owners Forum - iRV2 Forums

And the Forest River Forum (also linked above) is a Social Knowledge website, just like iRV2:
Forest River Forums - Forest River Owners Community

Thor RV and Forest River have no affiliation:
http://www.forestriverinc.com/index.aspx
and
http://www2.thorindustries.com/recreational-vehicles
Thor has owned the Airstream brand since 1980

But the 2 companies jointly support a charity:
"The Forest River / Thor Community Foundation"

"The Forest River/Thor Community Foundation is jointly funded by the two companies and will provide grants of up to $20,000 per qualifying employees or families to help cover unforeseen, emergency financial need due to a family crisis, acute illness, natural disaster, fire or other hardship. Eligible employees who would like more information about the program may contact their human resources representative."
See: http://www.rvbusiness.com/2014/11/fo...ue-foundation/

Safe travels

Hard to believe that Airstream still has quality with Thor owning them.

I didn't realize Thor owned them either until a couple days ago I was looking a some videos about the company and it was on their brochure.
I don't know if Airstream uses rubber torsion axles anymore either. They used Henschen axles seems like forever (1925) and they used to own it but sold it to a foreign company a quite a few years back and I believe the axle plant closed. It was right across the street from the Airstream plant. I was involved with buying the axles for a company I worked for that made pull behind farm fertilizer spreaders. The axles were a great application because they were maintenance free and the corrosive fertilizer didn't affect them like it would if it was spring suspension. The videos were interesting. Hard to believe they cost so much. Even the Bambi model was nearly $60,000 list price. They certainly used the finest material inside.
