Thanks for sharing Wayne. We discovered Texas Hospitality a few years back when we were there.
The short version of this post ( http://www.irv2.com/forums/f34/disco...ity-64414.html) is that we locked ourselves out of our car with our three dogs inside.
Not only did several people go out of their way to help us... one of them (a well-to-do looking middle aged lady in a Lexus) invited us to her house for a cool drink while we waited for help to arrive! I hadn't seem much of that in California.

The best, especially TexMex. Once you get out of Texas the other States with "Mexican" restaurants have no idea what Skirt Steak is and use Pot Roast as their meat source. Yuk!

Yep! You could cut Alaska into fourths and Texas would then be the 5th largest state, but it would not affect the fact that Texas is still GREAT!
COME ON DOWN!

What is missing from this thread is a link that Wayne previously posted elsewhere.
Wyman Meinzer | Official Texas State Photographer
I cannot stop watching it. The photos are spectacular but the way that it is put together with the music makes it even better. Just play the West Texas video on the link.

I lived in Corpus Christi for ten years. I sure do miss it. Loved the people.
I married a little Gal from there and when she died I took her back there.
My new wife is a little Irish Gal from Chicago. Almost as onery.
