Most so called "news network" commentators are political hacks posing as journalists.

This is a big issue. Most networks do a decent job of delivering the news, where we go wrong is when we start thinking that individual pundits spouting their opinion is somehow "news."

I remember during the Iraq War, there was this Iraqi dude called Bagdad Bob that lied about what turned out to be everything.

I donít watch any media anymore because of the slant given to it. Period.

Fox News is on from when I wake up until I leave the house and all the time in between.

CNN and MSNBC are unwatchable.

I can't believe there are no democrats posting in this thread. The way I see Fox or MSCN/CNN is one is right and the other is left. So I watch both a little to get each side of the story.

We need to keep politics out of the discussion or this thread is history!

Yes I just started watching newsmax a few day ago. I haven’t familiarized myself with the shows or hosts yet, but I will get there.

I believe Sean Spicer has a show or had a show on newsmax.

Got he message, you are about to respond to a hot news topic.
That's right.
I believe the above message is very political and wrong. Sorry.

I work for #fakenews, and the line between the national and local newscasts has been blurred in the last decade.

Sorry to disappoint, but the editorial content of local affiliates is largely controlled by the network news director. They not only dictate general editorial content, but they are providing content, pre-written scripts, and even reviewing/critiquing the stacking of the shows (the order of the stories, and what the are about, in the body of the show) and the local stories to determine if they are meeting the overall goal of the network. Even in small markets. This includes daily emails, and regular zoom or conference calls with the regional News Director, who basically give them their marching orders, and tell them what the weeks priorities are, as well as discussing how well they did on the previous week.
The station I work at is a doupoly situation. One station controlling the news for two different affiliates. The more powerful network in this situation (and most others) is controlling the editorial content of both, with the second station just mirroring the main. The same writers, producers, and sometimes even same reporters are producing the show for two different (supposedly) competitors. This situation is quite normal, and practiced in almost every market.
When you're watching the 'local' news, you're really just watching a watered down version of the national news. The depth of the influence and control would astonish people.
Our area is a big outdoor kinda place. A young reporter got invited to a shooting range grand opening and covered it. This reporter found shooting fun, and in the next few months did a few other pro-shooting packages. And then the hammer came down when the powers that be said, "no more pro gun stories." Just one example of how someone outside your community controls 75%, or more of your news. And a large part of that control is dictating what wont be covered.

The entire thread from the title onward is blatantly political. Might as well ask if your favorite hat color is blue or red.
