Hi Ren - Great portrait painting!
If that avatar is photo of you... I can see why you can do as your do.
Facial stance, features and eyes deeply tell story. Early life the story usually has yet to gain depth. Mid life the story becomes more and more recognizable. Latter life faces tell volumes...
IMHO, you captured/depicted volumes in this portrait. Your mom??

Thanks so much! On this gloomy, rainy day on the road, your words are balm to my soul.

Riding motorcycles and exploring small town America. I've been riding for 45 years and the wife has been riding for about 15 and we like to explore backroads and out of the way spots. We live full time in our motorhome (wife is a travel nurse) so we ride on her days off and take 2-3 weeks between contracts to explore the area we are in. We've ridden dirt, street and sport bikes and now adventure bikes for long riding days and offload riding. Gonna do it till I can't!

Jeez, that's beautiful! I admire artistic ability so much -- don't have a bit of it myself.

I too maintain and ride motorcycles. We tow a bike in a small enclosed trailer if were going on a trip longer than a weekend. My wife loves being on the rear seat and most of the riding is 2-up. We have 3 scoots but this one is my favorite.

One of my hobbies turned into a full time job about 30yrs ago.
I own and operate a motorcycle shop.
So now I enjoy cruising my GTCS Vert.
Playing with my Honda SxS, Pleasure boating, riding my bicycle.
Spending time making sure my MH and Stacker or trip ready, makes me think I'm going somewhere.

I like to repair, restore, weld, fabricate, build most anything. Even built my own Insulated Concrete Form house. Ride snowmobiles with my son in northern Michigan. Boat in the summer.
Can’t get that last photo to turn over

I feel pretty safe in my full-frame 67 Buick Wildcat "Luxo Muscle Car"!!
That said: The 2014 Lincoln MKT SUV my wife drives [very surprisingly to me] out weighs my Wildcat... 4800 lbs. to 4,400 lbs. So... with that much weight [and enough protective airbags to float a Zeppelin] I guess her newer ride wins for occupant protection!

Modern tech really has improved passenger protection...

I think my 36 Chevy would have given your DeSoto a run for the money
