What the heck. Where did that come from.
Watch video in link below.

Do you think it came off the trailer that goes by at the end of the video?

That was amazingly quick. Don't know what vehicle it came off of, but it was smokin' hot even after it stopped moving.

Tire came off the utility trailer. I had that happen with a dual axle flat-bed trailer. The wheel passed me on the highway off the left side into a gully. Thankfully no oncoming vehicles for it to hit.
The wheel bearing disintegrated even though I had repacked all of them a few months prior. I consider that operator error on my part. I must have missed something while inspecting the bearings for wear and damage.
It took 4 hrs. to locate a new set of bearings and container of high-temp bearing grease on a Sunday afternoon, clean up the spindle nicks and burrs, then reinstall everything.

I'm not ever buying tires online if that's how they deliver them...

The guy made a deal on hot tires, right off the back of the truck. No sales tax.

One thing is certain. The owner of that tire will be “tireless” in his search to find it.

We had a tire gone wild issue on near Paso Robles yesterday. A wheel came off a 5th wheel on Hwy 101 crossed the median and hit a Jeep GC killing a passenger. No further info at this time.
