Where to go in Nashville
Leaving for Nashville in 9 days and was wondering what everyone's favorite place is? That includes sites, bars/clubs and resturants.

I think it's worth your time to just walk through the Opryland Hotel. 9 acre atrium inside. Really cool!

Country Music Hall of Fame will take up most of a day. Taking the RV? Where are you staying? If at one of the campgrounds on Music Valley Drive, I would recommend the Downtown Shuttle (fee). It takes you to downtown Nashville and one does not have to worry about parking and if you want a libation, no worries about driving afterward. We visited The Hermitage and it was a good tour. Just walk around until you find a bar with your kind of country music. We love it in Nashville and stop every year on our way south for the winter.

If you like wine, Arrington Vineyards, not to far south of Nashville. Kix Brooks of Brooks n Dunn is part owner and is there sometimes. Check, they have free concerts on certain Friday or Saturday evenings, might be to early for those though. The make a great Black Raspberry whine.

Cooter's Place. Dukes of Hazzard is a must stop. Dick's last resort, Grand Ole Opry, Nashville Shores Water Park, there is also a historic home of someone but can't remember. I have CRS; Cant Remember ...Stuff. ;o)

Nashville is one of the best tourist cities in the U.S.--regardless of size. It is truly The Music City, and quite a restaurant town.
Many go to 3rd and Lindsey, just off Lafayette Ave and 3rd Street south of downtown. Google it for the calendar and you'll find incredible talent entertaining. Vince Gill and a bunch of road band veterans play 1 night per week.
The Bluegrass Inn on 12th Ave. is another popular nightly stop--especially on Tuesday nights when the incredible Doyle and Debbie singing comedians are there.
You cannot go wrong visiting nights on Lower Broadway--downtown by the river. There are great honkey tonks and music venues down there.

We're at the Nashville Shores Waterpark campground. Very nice. Waterfront and pull thru sites with full hookup and 50 amp service.
Hopefully you'll have warmer weather than we're seeing. Mid 20s yesterday and today at night.
