Where were you 50 years ago? (Apollo 11)

Where were you?

I was actually with my parents, (I was 14), in our 21' Travco motorhome at some campground in Colorado.

The CG was selected for its TV reception. Just for the landing, Dad bought an AC/DC 12" B/W Sears TV. We watched the landing and EVA while we were boondocking.

That MH wasn't a lot bigger than the LM, especially for 3 people and a recirculating toilet.

No doubt I was right here. Not in my house but laying blocks for the cellar. I worked every night the weather would allow me to after a full day's work at the car dealership I worked at. I usually quit around 11: 00 PM. Normally I was alone but once in a while a friend would stop by and I put them to work. I didn't have too many friends that summer. Wife was pregnant for my son and was caring for our 2 year old daughter.
Finished my house and moved in January 3 1975.
Didn't know about camping trailers. We were living in a 10' X 50' mobile home with an Expando living room. Maybe that is why I have NO interest in going full timing in a MH. I've had my time in a cracker box.

I was almost 10 years old. The family was glued to the TV EVERY Apollo event! My parents made it a family event every time!

I was sitting at home, having just graduated from dental school, with my dad, watching it on television.
Particularly interesting as my dad had a a hand in the production of the Apollo rocket at NorthAmerican/Rockwell.

I was only 15. Was living with my grandparents near Buffalo NY. Went to the pool hall with my cousin to shoot pool. They had the television on and we watched it there.

At work watching on tv. Company I worked for made the controls they used to land on the moon. We watched them take off from the Earth, land on the moon, leave the moon and land back here.
