Where were you in 1977 ??

My basic training in the United States Army,,,, And Still Proud of it...
Even then it was tough,, these are WW2 barracks,, but that's what our
fathers went through... and much more... Thankyou to everybody who is or has served this Once Great Nation....

I had just graduated from high school and went to work as a wildland firefighter on a Hot Shot crew. Still fighting fires but as a captain on a municipal fire dept. I'll be retired in 58 months (but who's counting).

I (we) my best friend chose to go Army . to get "out of town" ... He is gone from cancer,,, We were both 2 1/2 ton drivers,,, I miss him a lot... A person you can trust with your life is pretty rare,,,
