I tried XP 64 bit on one of my "test" laptops and it ran slower than W7. I have XP on my desktop and love it. W7 has too many restrictions. "Access Denied" - "Access Denied" - "Access Denied". I can map my XP desktop from a W7 computer and copy just about any file. Not so the other way around. All I get is "Access Denied". I tried turning on file sharing on everything on the W7 machine, but still get "Access Denied". My Documents - "Access Denied". They're my documents, why am I denied from accessing my documents?
And another thing. Just about every time I do an "Upgrade" or let MS do an automatic upgrade, MS changes my settings. MS even turns off my screen saver when I do an upgrade. I now have automatic upgrades turned off. I'm going to look at Linux.

Perhaps you just need to attend a training course on Windows 7 (from a long time IT instructor). Or as we IT types always say, RTFM. :0

Never had a virus or trojan in my life... simply staying off of the porn and 'free software' sites will do that..
Still sick of the apple fanboys claim of no malware though.. big buncha hooey

PM sent.
I know I just have to give 7 a chance and not expect it to be the same as XP, use it as a computer and keep my nose out of where it doesn't belong. I could use the phrase that I'm too old to retrain, but I won't. RTFM. I used to know what that meant.

Another thing I want to know is when I burn an iso or make a system rescue disc, I have to use a new DVD every time. Why can't I format a DVD and re-use it?

Thanks! I'm downloading it now.

I agree with you buddy. All I get is access denied, you don't have permission, go screw yourself... etc... I'm the admin and it's my system so Microshit should tell me what I can access and what I can do with MY computer..? I don't think so.... Win7 is a pile of horse sheet...

You need to use DVD R/W discs to format and resuse them. I haven't used a disc in years. Flash drives are here. (;-)

Power iso or any other program will not burn a iso or image to a used disc, even it it is formated. I can and have written files to used and formated R/W discs, but have never been able to burn an image or iso to them.
