This was mine yesterday when I stopped by to add some mouse repellent and check the traps. As much as I could take 40 and rain all winter, the VT Economy needs you skiers!

(The tires are now covered, just came home from the dealer last weekend for some slide repairs that took a lot longer then planned, scooted in a few days before the snow flew)

Temps are definitely running higher than normal here in AZ. I'm going to take the solar screens off our windows today to keep from having to run the furnace for hopefully a few more weeks.

I've moved around quite a bit and enjoyed different weather patterns. I sold my snowblower when I left Denver, and sold my lawnmower when I left the New Orleans area. I will NEVER own either of these items again...

A weatherman in Des Moines, Ia said today that it has been over 700 days since Des Moines has had more than three inches of snow at one time.

Warm in E. TX

Pretty warm here 100 mi E of Dallas. We need a cold winter to kill some bugs and make peaches produce.

We made it to December with only a couple of inches of snow in the NE. I'd call that normal to slow.... ;-)

It's supposed to hit here this evening. They predict a lake effect band to dump snow between two villages about twenty miles apart. Up to two feet of snow!
Guess who lives dead center of those two villages?
I'll give a report from ground zero tomorrow.

We got cheated. Only 8" on the ground here now. The bands moved north and south all day so we had heavy snow for a few minutes then the skies were clear. Then it would snow again. This kept up all day long.
Not enough snow to bother getting the snowblower all snow so I'll take a look in the AM. All my vehicles are either 4-wheel drive or all wheel drive so getting through a dusting of snow isn't an issue.

An old Indian told me that it was going to be a long cold winter. I asked him how he knew.

Did the wooly worms grow a thicker coat?

Did the bear hibernate lower on the mountain?

He told he had seen many white men coming from the mountains with much firewood.

I don't know...maybe it's colder this year..or maybe I'm just finally TIRED of it.
We're here in Spokane, WA and for some reason it 'seems' MUCH colder than it's ever been and even my wife has noticed it.

I'm originally from Florida so it seems I'm ALWAYS colder than she is. But for some reason it's really hit me this year.

I'm thinking it's because "I'm READY" to retire. Maybe not financially, but certainly mentally. I mean for the 1st time in my entire career, I really don't want to be here. (at work). I've never been one that has struggled to get up and go to work but this year...I'm done. sigh...Either I need to do something about it or find someway to FIX my attitude.

But yeah..it's cold here in Spokane.

We hunt in Kimball. Our lodge said they took a 100% loss on their corn crop this year due to the drought. It had all been cut in July for silage.

A news report on our local TV station listed Copenhagen NY which is 10 miles as the crow flies from my house has had a total of 74.1" of snow so far this year.
At home I'm just a little under 40" so far.
With a temperature of just 2 deg. above zero this morning the snow may be around here for a while.

I think you are up where you get more feet than we get inches. Used to drive up there from Rochester to go cross country skiing. ;-)
