Winterize in Florida?

I just did that last night! We're in Clearwater, Florida, and the weather channels were terrorizing us about hard freeze warnings, so I drained the lines and put alcohol in the drain traps. Never got that cold, of course, but you never know.

This is Florida! (Now is a good time to toss in some remarks about global warming, but that's just a cheap shot).

Warm and toasty inside, though.

Tom

I hear you, and it sucks. I figured where I am it might get below 32 degrees for no more than one hour so I didn't winterize. I'm still wearing my shorts, though.

It is a requirement of Florida weather people to run around crying " The sky is falling"
They do it all summer when it rains 1000 miles out in the Atlantic that a hurricane is coming.

Called my Mom, she stays in the Melbourne/Palm Bay FL area for the winter. She told me she had to wear a coat because the temperature was going all of the way down to 50 deg F. We had -31F that morning in Northrun Meeshegun. Frosty, eh?
