Wise Old Sayings & Quotes

What are some of your favorite old sayings you have heard in your lifetime?

A few of mine are:
  • “Faster than a frog after a June Bug”
  • “Happier than a Flea on the back of a dog’s neck”
  • “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure”
Do you guys know any?

don't let your alligator mouth over run your hummingbird behind.

He (she) lives out where the busses don't run.

Tho man a thinking being is defined, few use the grand choice of mind.
A few think poorly of the thinking few, a few never think who think they do.

If you always do what you always did, you will always get what you always got.

It isn't that he doesn't know so much; its that so much of what he knows isn't so.

'Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass. It's about learning to dance in the rain.'

"If people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles."

"You do not need a parachute to skydive. You only need a parachute to skydive twice."

Doing the Lord's work may not pay much now, but you sure can't beat the retirement plan!

I don’t need anger management-I just need people to stop pissing me off.
