Would this make you nervous?

We took the 92 mile bus ride into Denali National Park in July. Loved it.

However, the tour bus was on a Freightliner chassis and the pull/push switch for the emergency brake was on the center console in what is normally the radio area. The bus stops on several occasions and the passengers disembark after the driver steps outside. I'm thinking that the bus would go where it pleases if a passenger bumped the E brake switch. Some of the stops were dangerous if the E brake switch was disengaged.

Would that make you nervous? On my MH, the switch is left of the steering column and difficult to hit accidentally.

Or is this the wanderings of an overactive mind?

There is an old post , where a members, grand child , backed into the switch.
I have the similar location ; not great idea; any time I stop; other than fuel; I chock the wheels.
Others have placed a spacer clip under the knob , when parked.
For a bus; .....{ self imposed edit } poor location.

I rode those busses in 2005 and never flinched. I guess when there is an adventure
out there that's all I concern myself with. My wife on the other hand would not sit at
the window, she did not looking all the way down some of those drop off's. LOL.

On another view I always thought that the passenger should have better access to the Brake should something happen to the driver !

Haven't heard of any run away buses ever from Denali. I just rode the Shuttle Bus myself about a month ago. I felt totally safe as the bus driver was really professional in all her handling the bus all day. I'll be back !!

I have ridden that bus. Was it Charlie? And did you end up at Kantishna Roadhouse? They name all their busses.
