I was reading the comments, next to the Eagle window and read about another pair of eagles and their eggs. They are due to hatch around 2/24.

Here are the links to two more eagle nests: Friends of Blackwater NWR - Eagle Cam

EagleCam | Outdoor Channel

Thanks for posting MM, I had no idea these existed! I remember the first time that I was driving home from work and there sitting in a tree right next to the highway was a bald eagle. Took my breath away... so pretty!

PNWGirl...

The map I have a link to here (it was first mentioned in post 13) has had those nests on it when I first made it almost a week ago.
You will find many more nests mentioned on the map now.
Each marker on the calendar will have a link to a webcam link for that particular nest.

I did get word tonight that this calendar reprint that they are doing will be the last reprint for this calendar - so I would suggest you contact "CongoWings" ASAP if you are thinking about getting one!

Wow, the hummingbird one is REALLY active. You can watch her reinforcing her nest with spider webs. The detail is amazing! She is SO fast

Actually Woody- the map has a link to some Barn Owls -where there are 7 baby owls. They are about 2 weeks from the oldest and the youngest - so the sizes between them is a big difference!
As for the eagles.. one hatched today at the BlackWater nest ! (this nest cam goes offline at 2200EST everyday) I was hoping for a hatching today and I got lucky! Here is a photo from the Blackwater group...

I just went to look at this one Eagle Cam | HAMPTON ROADS NEWS | WVEC.com | News for Hampton Roads, Virginia | Microsite Content and they have pulled the camera focus really far back. Is there a reason that they do this? It's not possible to see any detail on what is going on anymore :(

Sheila- They are always zooming in and out. This will give folks a chance to see the area- and many times the spouse will be on one of the branches close by. They also do this because there is a pesky squirrel who keeps playing around the bottom of the nest. You can't see that if they are zoomed in too close.
I promise you-they will be up close when it is time for the eggs to hatch! FYI- the first egg will hatch somewhere close to March 9th at that nest. The second egg has hatched at the Blackwater nest.

Stay tuned...the zoomers will take the cam back in!

The eagles had their first "hatch" today. You can see video at this link.
There are still 2 eggs to hatch here.. the next one could be anytime - but it may be in 18 hours if the time table holds true.

You should all check back in a week or two to see some big differences!

Thanks for sharing MM.

We're going to south Texas on a birding trip next month for the spring migration and to observe several nesting bald eagles.
