1979 CruiseMaster class C Tranny Problems

I have a 1979 GMC cruise Master Class C. She drove great and shifted fine on my 75 mile Highway drive. once I got off the ramp stopped at light and took off I noticed it would not shift to drive. Went from 1st to 2nd great but no drive. I am heart broken as we have alot of fun in her. I checked the fluid and it was down 1 quart I have not added any yet to see if it helps. We just parked the camper qt our site and I had to rush out. Any body else experience this or ideas what I can try. I am sick to think I may need a rebuild. Not sure what tranny it is but it is a 350 chevy.

ltlluck, If that 30 year old GM transmission has not been rebuilt during the course of its lifetime I'd say it did a wonderful job. If you call Jon or Mike at Brazels RV he can tell you what kind of transmission you have. Good news is that there should be several resources for your to choose from so shop around. Good luck.
