Too bad that’s what it took to bring you back.

My name finally came up on the waiting list for an enclosed rv space. Moved Harvey into his new home today. I just hope I can make some time to work on him soon!

Now you don’t need the tire and wiper covers

Thanks. This would be easier if I was retired but I'm a few years away yet.

Hey! So I haven't given up yet, I've just been lazy about documenting the work I've been doing. It also took a while for my business to be affected by the 'end times', so now I have 'Time Enough at Last'. Y'know the Twilight Zone episode where there's a nuke war and Burgess Meredith emerges from the bank vault. Only I have reader glasses in every room and vehicle!

Repaired the holes on top of the plastic aux fuel tank. I used some HDPE scraps, stainless screws and JB Water Weld. I managed to do this without removing the tank or disconnecting any lines. I removed 3 straps from one end and lowered with a racing jack, then did the same to the other end. Holes were previously plugged with what I think are called Oatey plugs. They looked just fine when I had the tank out last year. As I mentioned in my previous posts, I smelled gas and discovered one was missing! Luckily instead of falling in, they popped out. Yes, I said they because ALL 3 were out! It's a good thing I never topped this tank off and went for our maiden voyage! Can you imagine? I can.

I've buttoned up the ceiling, cleaned up more wiring, had a 30amp RV outlet installed on my house, and other odds, ends n bits.

I gotta take more pics soon.
Next up is Insulating fuel lines that run next to exhaust pipe near rear axle. I'll use old heater hose for this. Then maybe interior panel work and building the first interior wall at the bedroom.

Stay safe all!

Cheers,
PaulClick image for larger version

One more thing: I discovered an ever so tiny hole at one of the tank straps. I fixed it with Water Weld and installed rubber strips at all straps.
It really never ends. [emoji14]

Some years ago I had a Winnebago Vectra and wanted new driver and passenger seats. I discovered the outlet store at the Winnebago factory. They had lots of furniture and great prices. Great place to look for things like couches seats, etc. assuming they still operate the outlet.

Checking in. It's been unusually hot (104+) here in the San Joaquin valley so I'm in my usual holding pattern. I imagine I'd be done by now if I had an on-site shop like Piker! I shall resume work this Monday when the heat wave breaks. Stay safe out there!
Cheers,
Paul

Hello all. We been experiencing stifling heat and recently added thick smoke from all the fires that surround the bowl that is the San Joaquin Valley. Everything has an orange hue. Sometimes it's so bad it moves in like a fog bank. Can't catch a break. I hope everyone is staying safe n healthy! Here's a pic of me going to check the mail.
Cheers,
PaulClick image for larger version
