1992 Fleetwood Southwind - can't access shower plumbing

I am trying to help out a friend who has this Fleetwood Southwind, and she has a water leak behind the shower faucet. The shower is the typical plastic enclosure, and looks to be one piece. The faucet and plumbing are on the outside wall, and we cannot figure out how to get to the back of that faucet. She wants to replace the faucet as well.
Anybody know how you access that plumbing?
Here is a picture of one like it. Any help or ideas would be appreciated.

Since it’s on an outside wall the repair has to be from the inside. If nothing else, some cutting and patching. With some talent it should look good when finished.

Surely there must be some way other than cutting the shower surround. Perhaps removing it? Even that is hard to believe, just to replace a faucet.
I have run into a few threads for other makes that have the access in the wheel well, or otherwise on the underside. Is this possible?

Notice the handle and soap dish in the picture. There are four plastic caps. Pop them off. Remove the four screws. Remove the panel. The faucet should be just below the panel.

We removed the soap dish/ towel bar fron the corner, and there isn't any access behind it. The shower surround is completely around the corner, there is no hole. The only way to get access, would do be to cut a hole. That might be a possibility, but my biggest fear is it's an outside wall, he might just right into a 2-inch wall with no access to the faucet from that spot. Has anybody ever changed the shower faucet in one of these units, or one like it?

A picture if the actual faucet/valve would be helpful.

Here is a picture, with one knob off. I wondered the same thing myself, that perhaps you could unscrew the cartridge, and get the face off of it to expose a base that screwed in. They said they unscrew the cartridge, and they just got a cartridge.

That is a surface Mount unit. if you look under it you will find two screws to remove it. There is no one cartridge. There are two valves in the base

There is no cartridge. That is a surface mount unit. There should be two screws underneath to remove it from the wall there are valves under the handles.

Ummmm, remember to turn off water pump before removing the faucet...or maybe an inpromptu shower might sound fun?
