1996 32 FKSO travel trailer

I have what appears to be a somewhat rare 1996 FKSO travel trailer. I let a guy live in for a couple of years and he removed a piece of equipment in a vented compartment next to the two 12 volt batteries. I'm trying to restore the trailer to the condition it was in prior to loaning it out so I want to replace this piece of equipment. I understand the basic difference between a converter and an inverter but I'm not knowledgeable enough to know which one I'm missing. My wife seems to think she once heard it referred to as an inverter but I'm just not sure. Can anyone fill my knowledge gap here so I can buy the appropriate piece of equipment? The trailer has a 50 amp power cord but only one air conditioner if that helps at all. Thanks. - Bill

Hi ! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined the gang!

I think that in a trailer that age it would be a converter.

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!
