2 Part EDPM coating is junk

Coated my edpm 6 yrs ago with 2 part edpm. $360.00. now cracked all over. I did all the prep work. what a job. Why didn't I just put on a new edpm roof? Got a leak at a skylight. Never used them. Just a pain. Why didnt I remove them years ago. Rig is 22yrs old and I am to old to buy a new one. 77. I am repairing both sides, cutting wet spots to dry and resetting with 4 inch endurabond. Problem is I have to scrape all the 2 part crap off to do a good repair. Have to scrape off all the way down the side top rails. Don't know if this is a mistake but I am NOT putting the screw strips back on, both sides, front and back. I am rebonding the edpm patches and sides with Dicor contact glue. Then I am attaching it everywhere with 4 inch endurabond. Wont look like a new one but I just boon dock and my bird dog thinks it looks good.

Unfortunately cheap fixes often have their long term drawbacks. Removing it is the way to go. The eternabond tape should hold you for a long time. Best Wishes.

Near as I can tell, eternabond tape is miracle stuff. Bought a roll to carry in the RV for emergency repairs. Saw one thread where an owner repaired a leak in his drinking water tank.
