91 Oshkosh Rv remodeling and fixed up but having problems please help!!!

I bought this RV a few months ago and I have been starting to remodel it but we are having issues with electrical and I cannot find the color diagram for the generator and it's a Onan Marquis 7000. I've been trying so hard to find the color diagram for the on and off switch there's no power going to the generator but when you go to press start the generator does not turn on I've checked uses and everything else I have noticed in this poor RV that there's the clip wire and things have been pulled out things are missing and I need some help. This is just one how many issues that I have came across with this RV if anybody has any idea or has the color diagram that they can let me know I would so appreciate it

Oshkosh is the chassis builder, they would have supplied the frame, drive train, front axle to a house builder which adds house (including generator) to make it a motor home. We/you need to know who built the house to get the info you're looking for. It should be on the outside of the body or a metal tag on the wall behind the drivers seat.

We need to know about the gender - what “Spec” model is it?

Owner and Service manuals can usually be located and downloaded with a little tenacious searching on the internet.

Not sure what a “colored diagram” is. I think your looking for a wiring diagram. Either of those two will be in the aforementioned manuals.

Is it a motorhome or trailer? Is it a diesel or gas motorhome?

You have a start/stop switch on the generator itself. Does it work? Does anything at all happen?

Could be lots of things. Start with the simple first. Is the generator properly grounded to the RV chassis? My ground cable looked like something had damaged it. I didn't even bother to test it, I just replaced it.
Then I had no power to the generator from the main battery cable. It was kind of puzzling as my test showed I DID have power at the cable. After a while I figured out that there was corrosion between the cable and the terminal it looked like it was firmly bolted to. Looks were deceiving.
Without ground and power to generator you'll have nothing else. Start with those.

When I went to go start the generator it just clicked in the RV it did the same thing on the generator itself when I went to pull the hot wire off the generator it did have spark but the engine will not turn over also there is a couple of wires missing and I'm not really sure what they are for and I'm pretty sure from all the photos I've seen I'm miss a part off it. But what since I bought is that the people before me that had it really did a bad job mess with wiring. And I'm trying to fix what I can

If it clicked sounds to me that your house battery may be close to dead or terminals are really dirty. What does it do when your rv engine is running?

House battery probably dead. The gen starts from the house battery _or_ 12v supplied by engine alternator.

Generator starts from the House battery, RV starts from the engine batteries. While running, the engine is going to push some charge to the House battery, so its like you are using the engine to jumpstart the generator.
Pull the House battery out and take it to a local auto parts store to get it load tested.
