Another Vintage Orphan

....abandoned on our road. Someone had to drive it a long way to dump it here so it must be somewhat roadworthy. Tagged by CHP. Hopefully it will be gone soon.

A lot of the time Meth cookers use an older cheep unit to make their junk. They leave all the dangerous by products in the unit and abandon it. The property owner that winds up with it also get the HazMat cleanup bill. This was one of the driving factors in the 10 year old rule for RV parks. We managed a RV park
two years ago in SoCal and had to force one unit out for drug activity. A few weeks later we saw the unit abandoned and found out it was being used as a drug lab. Dodged a disaster that time.

This was clearly just dumped - littering taken to a whole new level. Fortunately it’s already tagged and will be gone in a few days, but at the tax payers expense of course. I see this stuff in more populated areas, and there are homeless (more or less) camps of old RVs now in Sacramento and along I5 (don’t even want to think about LA), but this is definitely new for our little corner of the world.

Yeah, it’s getting rough out there. Driving an old class-A we sometimes get the stare down. “Are those people meth dealer dealers?”
Because of that image the standard public has, we keep our rig super clean and polished.
