Anybody remove the house from the chassis?

Just wondering if anyone had removed the "house" from the chassis of a C class........ and started out building a better mousetrap from the floor up?

We had considered it once we completely gutted our Champion, but really what is the value? I mean, at some point you have to look at the time and cost to do something like that and start over with a better project vehicle, which is what we did.

I thought about removing my older, low mileage, class C house, when its time is up.

Maybe make a boat carrier.

I can see that, they are typically built on a one ton or better chassis with super low gearing in the rear so they should be able to haul the beans.

Check out a thread called "Total Rebuild" and start at the beginning and read up until he finished with his "Rebuild" if you want an idea of what is involved.
