Wow, considering how rare these are, I would do whatever I could to go see it. I never heard of these before this, but they are just about the coolest looking thing I ever saw! If you do go and see it, just look at it like you would any other MH it's age. Don't let the rarity force you into making allowances for it.

I wish I could meet up with you before you head home and show you my Sceptre (you can see it on YouTube-1983 Sceptre Part 1 and Part 2). When do you leave SoCal? As for your request about things you should do before you head home-always check tires, the only thing that really matters is the date of the tires-5-7 years old is as old as you should ever travel on. If you blow a 22.5' tire, it will do untold damage and ruin your very rare Sceptre, your's is number 7 of 44.
I saw your Sceptre, but it was before it was detailed, I wish I could see it now, the on-line photos made it look pretty nice. I would like to stay in touch with you as you get to know and enjoy your Sceptre. Semper Fi, Dennis
Dennis, thank you for your reply I appreciate it, I will check the tires I understand the front ones are new..........I am flying out on the 3rd & plan on leaving straight away provided the tire are OK. I will get your number from Chad he also has my numbers. I plan on taking a week or more to get home I am sure ther will be lots to see on the way back.

Enjoy your cruise, & thanks again................John

Looks like the last post on the Apollo Sceptre was on 12-4-11. I am new to this. I joined after reading about the Sceptre in MotorHome. I saw the ad for the one in Arroya Grande but got no response from the supposed owner. I have tried to contact Dennis Denoi to see what he knew about it but could not contact him. Has anybody seen the one in Arroya Grande?

H Steinhoff,
Sorry you were having trouble contacting me, I had trouble logging into iRV2 yesterday to reply to your request. Yes, I know the Sceptre you are asking about, it sold from the ad you saw, but I know the current owner and he too lives in Arroyo Grande, CA. His name is Randy and he has entertained offers on it, but still has it. It is number 44, the last known Sceptre Built. It is on the Gillig Chassis and has the 3208 250 HP turbo. It is in original condition inside and out and the second cleanest one next to mine that I have seen, however it is not as clean and does not look the same on the inside-remember I have done some upgrades and modifications. On that note look at my two YouTube videos, Apollo Part 1 & 2. Please contact me at rfort83@hotmail.com
Thanks and Semper Fi, Dennis

cousinfred, please contact me via rfort83@hotmail.com. I would like to know which Sceptre of the 44 made that you have. As for parts, most parts on the Sceptres can be replaced with generic and after market parts. The biggest issue are parts for the Detroit Diesel 8.2L engine. I have gone through mine from top to bottom and can advise you as best I can. Semper Fi, Dennis
