charging system not charging

i am looking for the battery isolation diode/module on my 1990 damon escaper 33 ft motor home class a with 7.4 chevy big block ,i have replaced the altenator and have power to both wires going to altenator but veh is not charging still ,was told by a rv mechanic that battery isolation diode or module is probably bad but i cannot find it

On a 1990 Damon Escaper Class A it is most likely located under the front hood hatch. There are many different models. In general they look like this:


and are hooked up simular to this:
