Dashboard of my '88 Fleetwood SouthWind.

I just joined this forum, and it has been great to hear the suggestions on other threads. This is a great place to learn about my RV and other things as well...

Now I have a problem that I hope to get some info on...

I recently got a 1988 Fleetwood Southwind, 34 foot class A. The dashboard seems dead, (and loose, so the previous owner was mucking about in there)

I do not have access to the previous owner, and that is not really my style anyway...

So, I have a chassis manual that another member was great about sending me an electronic copy. I had already downloaded and printed the Southwind manual as well.

I have switches, and all kinds of bits in that cockpit that are not in either manual. Some of the switches or choices are referred to in either manual, but I am looking for a particular resource so that I can tell what everything is supposed to do, so that I can eventually make it do that thing again.

Right now, I sit there, and can start the engine, and enjoy no changes in any gauge, I have buttons galore, some are labeled, some not, most don't do anything that I can find.

It is awkward to sit there, hit this little white button or that metal rocker switch, and have nothing happen, but also not know what was to happen.

Some items I can figure out, like the 'step' switch, which lights up but does not activate the step, I can figure is for the step at the door, and I can fix that little motor.

Others have no label, and I guess I should know them. I know there is a house battery/truck battery cross over, so I can start the motor with the house batteries, as an example, but I don't know which one it is, or what it looks like...

So, is there some source I can find, where I put the details of my MH into, by date, description, or vin number, where I can get a definitive dash board layout and description?

If possible take Pic's of the Dashboard I have a 82 PA by Fleetwood but not sure if there is much of a difference.
Like on my steps you have to open the door then flip the switch on the dash and then the steps will remain out until you do the reverse to put them back up. In other words you don't want them going up and down every time you want out, And you don't want them down as you going down the HWY.
I have been told or it has been mentioned on this site that most of the step motors are from a car manufactures electric car window.
My extra start is a button on the dash and you have too turn the key and then push the button. Hope this helps somewhat.
And
